Current Child
Our 14-year-old son Tyler contracted bacterial meningitis at 3 weeks old and was diagnosed with a severe form of Cerebral Palsy. His life has been full of many challenges, but he keeps on smiling and laughing and making us proud to be his mom and dad.
Obstacles
Tyler is non-ambulatory and uses various pieces of equipment such as a wheelchair and stander for all of his daily needs. We were able to help build his communication skills with his high-tech eye gaze device that is always by his side
Solutions
Tyler requires a Piedro Orthopaedic Stability shoe to accommodate his special needs. His diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy causes foot abnormalities and this shoe is designed to improve imbalances and tone issues. They are used on a daily basis when he is in his Wheelchair and for therapy.
Goal
It has been financially challenging to continue to afford these shoes which continuously increase in price and need to be replaced once a year due to growth and wear and tear.
Please see the link below for more information on the Piedro shoes.

We are asking for support to help us raise $500 for his Piedro shoes which our employee benefits will not cover.
We greatly appreciate the amazing charity Ability Gives for supporting us. Thank you!
