Because of your support Zophia was able to join a Princess Tea Party.
Zophia was born three months prematurely. She spent those missed three months at Sick Kids’ NICU. Early head scans showed bleeding in her brain and her parents were told she had level four cerebral palsy (out of five; five being the worst). Her prognosis was grim. The doctors were unsure if she was going to see or how well, they were certain though that she was going to be quadriplegic. Now, at almost four, Zophia has proven to compensate for her physical shortcomings with amazing personality and intelligence.
Zophia needs support with her sitting, standing, walking, eating, bathing. With proper equipment her life can be quite comfortable. Unfortunately there is a very limited funding for furniture like specialized tables and chairs. Ironically, that’s what children like Zophia need the most, as they spend most of the time in a sitting position.
Thanks to Ability Online/Ability Gives that ultimate comfort is within the reach. Her Rifton chair allows her to join her family at the dinner table, to do activities on her own, to join her friends at a party. And her walker has given her independent mobility. Nothing can stop her now!
